Felipe Korzenny, Ph.D. is Captura Group’s Senior Strategy Consultant, providing specific insights on Hispanic online user behavior to inform Captura Group’s Hispanic online solutions. Dr. Korzenny works with Captura Group’s research and strategy teams to create and execute user research as well as develop comprehensive user experience strategies that balance user needs and achieve business objectives.
Dr. Korzenny is the Founder and Director of Florida State University’s Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication and has published six books and nearly a hundred research publications dealing with communication and culture. Prior to joining Florida State University in the Fall of 2003, Dr. Korzenny was Principal and Co-Founder of Cheskin, a firm he joined in 1999 when he merged his own company, Hispanic & Asian Marketing Communication Research. Dr. Korzenny founded the organization in 1984 to assist Fortune 500 companies in communicating effectively with these markets in the U.S. and abroad. His contributions have ranged from product development, brand positioning and marketing initiatives.
Dr. Korzenny holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Communication Research, where he was also a faculty member. He is a member of the board of the Advertising Research Foundation and prominent speaker at nationwide symposiums and conferences on the Hispanic market. Dr. Korzenny is bi-cultural and bilingual and was born in Mexico City and speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
